What's New at the Nursery!
Top 100 Revolutionary Garden Center:We’re proud to say that “Wingard’s” was featured as the December cover story of a trade magazine, “Today’s Garden Center,” and once again, for the second year in a row, we were named by the same magazine as one of the Revolutionary 100 Garden Centers for 2008.
Parking Lot:Just when you thought the construction was done on North Lake Drive, you see equipment and orange cones at our corner again! We took down most of the trees in the front so folks could see us from the highway and we could expand the parking lot with two-way access from both Pilgrim Church Road and North Lake Drive.
Azaleas:Since we moved our azaleas from under the pine trees in the front to make room for more parking, customers have been calling to ask if we still carry them. Well, of course we do! We still have a large selection of our own, home-grown, Wingard’s Azaleas as well as the increasingly popular Encore Azaleas, which bloom 2-3 times a year.
In Season:This month you’ll find Sasanquas, Camellias, Daphne, and Lenten Rose in bloom. The winter annual called “Stock”, held up well in this recent cold spell ... we’ve got plenty of blooming Stock in stock right now, as well as pansies, violas and snapdragons. Don’t forget our Potting Shed is available for your convenience. Bring your own pots and look at our winter container gardens for ideas, or just take one home with you, ready-made.
