45 years ago, Margie and Judson Wingard didn’t set out to create a big, award-winning business. It developed out of their love of plants and their desire to help others enjoy them just as much as they did.

The seed was planted in the late 1960s, when the Wingards began propagating azaleas for their yard. Thanks to their green thumbs, they found themselves with more than they could use, so they set up a roadside stand with a hand-painted sign advertising "azaleas for sale 50 cents." (CLICK HERE)

  • Art in the Garden IX, a benefit for Lexington Interfaith Community Services

We feel strongly about "giving back" and host Art in the Garden IX, a benefit for Lexington Interfaith Community Services, each October to raise funds for LICS, located at 216 Harmon Street, in Lexington. LICS helps those in need in our community by providing clothing, food and funds to help families in crisis. Over the past 7 years, this event has raised over $92,000 for LICS. Each year has a different theme and this year's is "Shagging to the Music," featuring a two hour show and dance by The Band of Oz, one of the premiere beach bands in the Carolinas! The evening also features a fully-catered dinner, by Crescent Moon Cafe.  This year's menu includes: Chicken Perleau, with Andouille Sausage, Sliced Pork Sliders, Spring Rolls, Tomato Sandwiches, Pasta Salad, Fruit, Cheese and Vegetable Platters, Cookies and Italian Sausages.  Beverages provided by Budweiser, Pepsi and Palmetto Wine & Spirits, matched to the menu.  There will also be a silent auction. So mark your calendars to come celebrate another cool Carolina evening under the stars...tickets are $40 per person.

BTW, if you have young children, not to worry, Pilgrim Lutheran Church will provide child care services that evening!  Give them a call at 803 359 9421.

Tickets are advance sale only, no tickets sold day of the event.

TICKETS PURCHASED AFTER SEPTEMBER 28 WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP AT WILL CALL.
